Mandy Moore - Only Hope

20/01/2008

Gosh another evening of two blog posts, what will the neighbours say?

This evening I ramble about A Walk to Remember, and in particular this song:

the lyrics :

“There’s a song that’s inside of my soul
It’s the one that I’ve tried to write over and over again”

Would appear next to my name in a dictionary type thing

Imagine four husky ‘men’ in an empty cinema enjoying this, and being reduced to contemplation.

You must read the book, a story of love overcoming all. After reading this it some how changed my life, a sudden desire to help and make a difference was born, a mighty fire was lit within. I wont spoil the ending but you really must do your best to seek this out…it changed my life

Couple of paracetemol with my coffee

19/01/2008

To combat the yesterdayness of todays morning Ive mixed in a couple of paracetemol into my coffee to aid the reduction of yesterday :-) (twas an odd day yesterday of near mental breakdown)

A sleep does wonders!

So on to some lovely art to brighten the senses, inspire and awaken the soul, allowing it to soar high above the normal world into a place where only nice things exist :-) I present a recent find of true lovelyness

Lula robbins: her site

Just perfect everything, the expression is soooo bob on, its simple, perfect and conveys soo much, the quality of the print, that polaroidey, vintageyness (god how ive come to detest the term ‘vintage’) Extremely lovely lovely work

Do you hurt but still feel alive?

17/01/2008

This means quite a bit to me, firstly its absolutely gorgeously done, musically, graphically terrifically supperly feelingly so.

Actually listen to the words, the are proper words, thought about, pondered over, from the heart, the soul, the feelings of hurt of love, pain and waiting.

I can never bore of watching this, it seems as though it was written for/by me, something to yern for, fight for…

Gosh time for bed, its been a rather intense day at the windmill :-(

Sweet tight, luscious dreams

Chicane, Love, dreams…beaches at night

13/01/2008

Every now and then a dance chap does something with something behind it..this is perfection (what else would we allow at the windmill?!)

Lost dreams, lost hopes, memories of sitting on beaches at night, desires, wants…all gone…the video is lovely, the red of the lips, the expression on her face…all very hitchcocky..wonderful, haunting…

Sleep well windmillers warm in your beds :-)

Flying - David Copperfield

11/01/2008

Is this art? well yes it is. Its magic, but thats not why this is beautiful, its the whole package working so well together, the colours, the showmanship and the music all hold hand and give each other a big cuddle.

If you search google hard enough you’ll find out how its done, but please dont, this is so beautiful, the man is an artist..yes a poncy one, but still this a beautiful piece of performance

Leann Rimes - now bare with me here

10/01/2008

Gosh we are diverse at the windmill arent we?! Fear not, although this may seem a trender on the surface, delve into this visual feast.

Absolutely gorgeous, they’ve had the art men in which pleases me greatly. I love that half the video is totally blown out , I bet the art men had to battle to get that idea OKayed, and Im glad they did. Using old wallpaper is a bit overdone I know, but this is rather old, its been sat on my hard drive over the life span of several computer and give it a glance every now and then to stoke the fires within.

A toast, to those fighting to get their creative way, all day long they battle on doing crap and photos of people dressed as barbie and sailors, everynow and then a project a comes along when they can express themselves, yes a toast to the artists and the big wigs with the cases, towels and suits who said okay to something differenty

Coffee level: 2
Manbeer: 2 (apologies for the ramble)

Photo Constructions David Hochbaum

10/01/2008

Im in a rather strange mood today, rather frustrated, the urge to jump on a train and end up in Paris or even better Disneyland is very strong indeed. Yet there is work to be done, coffee to be drunk, and headaches to have.

But gosh this cheered me up, another find from glorious stumbleupon.. David Hochbaum

Rather similar in feeling to a previous post on John Piper Full of yummy things for the eye to wander around and get lost in and forget about the normal world

Also reminds me of Terry Gilliam’s python bits and bobs.

Do have a look around his site for more lovely images :-)

Arthur Berzinsh - Scrummy Perfection

9/01/2008

I have a creative frustration. I see things I want to create in my mind, Its not exact, its a feeling, a smell, an emotion, and I’ll know when I get there…I’ve never been near, and it hurts. There has been glimmers, lots and lots of pieces of the big jigsaw, I just need to put them all together…I was almost there when I carried a snow machine and generator of miles of hills, I still have the scars.

But this chap has reached perfection, they are perfect, and so close to what I see in my brain..before looking at these stick some of Danny Elfmans more spookier adventures on..may I present Arthur Berzinsh:

Its a perfect mix of mediums, inspiring and wonderful, for more check out his site:
