Pushing Daisies, Epic Return Ramble

13/06/2008

Oh my gosh. Im a little late to the internet boards with this but…

I. Adore. Pushing Daisies.

Everything. Simply everything. From the fantastic colourful perfect world they inhabit, to the glorious chuck and her fantastic oldy dresses…the music, perfect…the narration oh my gosh the narration MAKES it.

I know everybody bloody harps on that it looks like Tim Burton, well yes it does a bit, but this is BETTER its different, the lads took a chance with this, and its paid off…its simply glorious. I cant use mere mortal words to describe how I truly feel of this masterpiece.

Simply wonderful, even digging in, Its Shakespearian how chuck and ned love each other but can never ever touch…this is a wonderful of art…yes its has crossed over the line from TV, this is some art. To show my appreciation I have purchased a rather expensive poster to display upon my wall.

Good dreams goosebumpers

Sam Sparro - Scares the crap out of me

22/04/2008

This gets within your soul, into your blood and is with you for hours after. How blinking refreshing to hear a chap singing rather than oily ladies gyrating and moaning.

Its rather hypnotic, and I adore the video, but it scares the jumping jesus out of me. He looks like the trendy lad at school who was good at sport, had rich parents, had the best brand name shoes, bag and pencil case….alas years later when you locate him on facebook you find he’s still wearing the sport coat and looks like alan partridge.

I know Im a little late bringing this to your attention dear reader, but its difference sets it apart and deserves a place in the windmill of fire.

Sleep well, dream of warmth

James Blunt, glorious dreams.

7/04/2008

i think this chap gets a lot of stick. Im not a mega fan of everything he throws out, but this is lovely. The black and white is perfect, at 2:$7 when they stand on the cliff it is truly beautiful. His words are not just thrown out to rhyme, theres some lovely lovely phrases…watching you breathing for the last time…

Lovely lovely mr blunt.

Old news, moulin rouge and frozen mash

3/04/2008

Frozen mash is a gift sent from some higher power. on demand perfection, which brings me to:

Gosh I was a late comer to this piece of perfection, after the remarks of a paper tank building friend I gave it a wurl. It blew me away and quite possibly changed my life. Visually stunning, so much so that it tempts me to the HD tv section of the argos.

They took a chance, they had the art men in, im watching the above youtube as I type, the goosebumps grow and grow as we reach the 3:17, shivers shoot down my spine, the brain expands, hairs on end…truly beatiful in a way that makes my spelling fall down in an extreely appauling manner, so beautiful that even going back over this paragraoh to correct the spelling seems unworthwhile

I’m sure you’ve seen this before, but do give it a click if not. The finale is quite simply the most beautiful thing I have seen on screen:

I love its lessons, the greatest thing ever is to love and be loved in return, screw all this talk of money, all this talk of having things, flat tellys, shiny cars, holidays to magical places…all nice yes, but at the VERY end of the day, it matters not.

To love and be loved in return, no matter what.

Sleep well ramblers

14/03/2008

I could analyze the daylight out of this loveliness. Its misty, dreamy, odd, fun, unpretentious, its popular hippety hop stuff, but they ARENT playing up to it…no ibiza in sight anywhere…

Dancing beasts of the forest, lovely lovely! i adore it at 2:47 ish, its epic almost bibleish? My words fail me along with my legs this evening, I do appologise

Mandy Moore - Only Hope

20/01/2008

Gosh another evening of two blog posts, what will the neighbours say?

This evening I ramble about A Walk to Remember, and in particular this song:

the lyrics :

“There’s a song that’s inside of my soul
It’s the one that I’ve tried to write over and over again”

Would appear next to my name in a dictionary type thing

Imagine four husky ‘men’ in an empty cinema enjoying this, and being reduced to contemplation.

You must read the book, a story of love overcoming all. After reading this it some how changed my life, a sudden desire to help and make a difference was born, a mighty fire was lit within. I wont spoil the ending but you really must do your best to seek this out…it changed my life

Do you hurt but still feel alive?

17/01/2008

This means quite a bit to me, firstly its absolutely gorgeously done, musically, graphically terrifically supperly feelingly so.

Actually listen to the words, the are proper words, thought about, pondered over, from the heart, the soul, the feelings of hurt of love, pain and waiting.

I can never bore of watching this, it seems as though it was written for/by me, something to yern for, fight for…

Gosh time for bed, its been a rather intense day at the windmill :-(

Sweet tight, luscious dreams

Flying - David Copperfield

11/01/2008

Is this art? well yes it is. Its magic, but thats not why this is beautiful, its the whole package working so well together, the colours, the showmanship and the music all hold hand and give each other a big cuddle.

If you search google hard enough you’ll find out how its done, but please dont, this is so beautiful, the man is an artist..yes a poncy one, but still this a beautiful piece of performance
