Do have a look on Amy’s Site: http://www.amyschreibmanwalter.com

Image for purposes of visual encapturement - yes, a new word loyal windermillers

On the afternoon of my 30th birthday
in the park
my red dress a flash of bright against the
dirty brown soil beneath my bare legs
and you.

And just like that
your hand crept up my thigh.

The Brooklyn Bridge adjacent
hovered over us.

Rested my head
on your chest
under the shade of the tree
with the view of the two bridges.

A single pink
balloon floated
above us
from somewhere.
You grabbed its string
and gave it to me -
a birthday present.

We had nowhere to go
but the brown grass that day.
I had no permanent address
anymore.

I lay on top of you
under the tree.
I wanted you
that afternoon.
Knees on legs.

I was 30 then
with you
flashes of red
against brilliant
blue sky.

When I had to go,
you helped me
adjust my dress
unwrinkle myself
place my belt
in the right place
right under my breasts -
high.

The red dress
hangs in my closet
still
it stands out
against my
other clothes.
Its floaty scarlet
flavor
a reminder of
a different time -
a birthday.

A bit trendy you may say? Well yes to be fair it is a wee trendy, reminding me of my illustration degree days. But still lovely, and beyond my terrible illustration days, there is humor in these, and good humour, nice humor, not the expected student humor of ‘eat my cheese’ etc

Lovely and vintagey with a hint of chitty chitty bang bang and geekyness, lovely lovely and I would adore a very large print upon my wall.

Do have a look at the EXCELLENT site:

I know everybody bloody harps on that it looks like Tim Burton, well yes it does a bit, but this is BETTER its different, the lads took a chance with this, and its paid off…its simply glorious. I cant use mere mortal words to describe how I truly feel of this masterpiece.

After a long day of work, I depart on my train home, tired and hungry. 15mins later I arrive to my station and there is one thing I like to do to escape the world around me and create my own. Music is mighty powerful, so I hook myself upto my small black box device of songs and depending on how I feel I select a song to suit. As I step off the train I press play and my world suddenly changes, like im part of a film. I could be returning home from an epic journey, starting a quest, chasing someone or in the spy world of James Bond. It gives me those goosebumps everytime

I apologise for the lack of imagery but I couldn’t think of anything that would suit, you just have to experince it

i feel i should name this experince, but what hmmm……

I suggest you try it anyho
