What is it that makes green so appealing today?

I do enjoy colour theory…should we investigate further?

“Culturally, green has broad and sometimes contradictory meanings. In some cultures, green symbolizes hope and growth, while in others, it is associated with death, sickness, envy or the devil.”

“GREEN relates to the HEART chakra Associated organs to this chakra are the heart and breasts. The gland is the thymus gland. This chakra relates to love / self love. that is to say the ability to give and take unconditionally. When balanced we are able to give this love and also to love and nurture ourselves, warts and all. ”

This bit is rather interesting (yes its me again, you may notice the return of bad spelling and/or grammer:

Green has great healing power. It is the most restful color for the human eye; it can improve vision. Green suggests stability and endurance. Sometimes green denotes lack of experience; for example, a ‘greenhorn’ is a novice. In heraldry, green indicates growth and hope. Green, as opposed to red, means safety; it is the color of free passage in road traffic.

- (me again…) the most restful colour? I do enjoy that fact very much!

I hope this ramble of green has been of interest. Do have lovely days windmillers, as soon as I have official windmill t shirts you can all have one

I know if I did go back it wouldnt be how I imagine it, I see it through the lens and film of yesteryear, those slightly off vintagy colours, james bondy greens and browns

They seem much more appealing to me than the images we see in the brochures, the crystal clear images of crystal clear seas and shiny oily people…maybe if I constructed some glasses with a green filter in them all scratched to buggery?
